Editorial policy
Last updated: 2026-05-21
GLP-1 Atlas exists to give clinicians a trustworthy, current view of GLP-1 therapy. This policy sets out the standards behind every page.
Evidence sources
We prioritise, in order:
- Peer-reviewed primary trials and systematic reviews
- Regulatory sources: MHRA, EMA, FDA and the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC)
- National guidance such as NICE and specialist society consensus statements
Marketing materials and press releases are not treated as evidence.
Review and authorship
Content is drafted by the GLP-1 Atlas Editorial Team and checked by the GLP-1 Atlas Clinical Review Panel. Pages carry a "last reviewed" date. We review high-change topics — such as regulatory alerts — more frequently.
Independence and conflicts of interest
GLP-1 Atlas accepts no pharmaceutical sponsorship of clinical content. Any advertising is separated from editorial material and clearly labelled. Contributors declare relevant interests.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim for accuracy but medicine changes. If you spot an error, contact us and we will investigate promptly. Substantive corrections are dated and noted.
Not medical advice
Content is educational and is not a substitute for the BNF, current SmPC, local formularies or specialist advice. See our medical disclaimer.
