Privacy Notice

This site is an independent educational resource for healthcare professionals and learners. We do not process sensitive personal data, sell data, or use advertising trackers. This notice explains what limited data we collect and why.
1. Who we are
GLP-1 Education is an independent educational website. It is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, the NHS, NICE, MHRA, or any regulatory authority. Contact: contact@glp1education.com
2. What data we collect
- Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our update notification list. You will have given explicit consent before submission. We do not collect names, demographics, or any other identifying data alongside email subscriptions.
- Server logs — standard web server access logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes and are not used for profiling or marketing.
- No cookies for tracking — this site does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), or session tracking cookies. The only cookies set are functional cookies required for page operation.
3. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
- Email subscriptions: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly.
- Server logs: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — security and fraud prevention. Logs are not used for any other purpose.
4. How we use your data
Email addresses are used solely to send notifications about new educational modules and significant clinical guideline updates. We do not:
- Share your email with third parties (including pharmaceutical companies)
- Use your email for advertising or marketing unrelated to this educational site
- Sell or rent your data
- Profile or segment subscribers beyond the single notification list
5. Data storage and security
Email addresses are stored with a GDPR-compliant email service provider. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We retain email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed. On unsubscription, your email is deleted within 30 days.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
As a UK data subject you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — restrict processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without detriment

7. Complaints
If you believe your data rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk — 0303 123 1113.
8. Links to external sites
This site links to external resources including NICE, MHRA, NEJM, and other publishers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies independently.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.

All content on this site is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, prescribing guidance, or personal clinical recommendation. Content references published trial data, NICE/MHRA guidelines, and SmPCs — all of which should be verified against current versions before clinical application.
